Have a Heart

When the calendar says February, do you think of those conversation heart candies or a big red box of chocolates? Go ahead, it's fine if you do.

As a health coach, when I think of February, I think about hearts, too, because it is American Heart Month. I want everyone I know to be aware of the connection between nutrition and heart health, so they can take care of their body’s most important muscle.

Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the top cause of death for men and women in the U.S.? The good news is that physical activity (anything, just move) and what we eat can significantly reduce our risk of heart disease, high cholesterol and stroke, even if you have a family history of heart disease.
