Focus on Your Heart This February
February is American Heart Month, and as a health coach, I appreciate the idea of focusing on our heart health instead of on heart-shaped candy! It’s especially important when you consider that heart disease is the #1 cause of death in the U.S. for both men AND women. According to the Centers for Disease Control, one in three women die from heart disease each year. The good news is, you can take action to minimize your risk, even if you’ve already experienced heart issues. One suggestion this month: kick the candy and find other ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day!
During this month of professing our love to those we care about most, I encourage you to also love yourself and take time to eat well, exercise, be present, and enjoy a couple of my favorite Heart-Loving Recipes that I'll post throughout the month.
